Chidambaram slams Modi seeks details bad loans NDA: Hitting back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his comments on advances given amid the UPA administer, previous Finance Minister P Chidambaram Sunday requested that the NDA government uncover the quantity of credits given by it which transformed into non performing resources (NPA).

“What number of credits and how much that were given after May 2014 have moved toward becoming non-performing resources?,” he said.

Chidambaram said this inquiry was asked in Parliament yet there was no answer up until now.

The Modi government had expected charge in May 2014.

Tending to an occasion, the Prime Minister on Saturday faulted the Congress-drove UPA government for NPAs, saying activity has been started against 12 expansive defaulters with an obligation of almost Rs 1.75 crore, who were given credits previously 2014.

Modi said work has been on to recoup around Rs 1 lakh crore from another 27 substantial credit accounts. Chidambaram said regardless of whether it was expected that the Prime Minister was correct when he said that advances given under the UPA have turned awful, what number of those credits were recharged or moved over (that is ‘evergreened’) under the present NDA government? “For what reason were those credits not reviewed? For what reason were those advances evergreened?,” he inquired.
