Modi said work has been on to recoup around Rs 1 lakh crore from another 27 substantial credit accounts. Chidambaram said regardless of whether it was expected that the Prime Minister was correct when he said that advances given under the UPA have turned awful, what number of those credits were recharged or moved over (that is ‘evergreened’) under the present NDA government? “For what reason were those credits not reviewed? For what reason were those advances evergreened?,” he inquired.
