American journalist accused raping 23 years ago MJ Akbar: Member of Parliament MJ Akbar is accused of raping anyone for the first time. Chief Business Editor Pallavi Gogoi in the US NPR wrote in the Washington Post of 1 November that Akbar raped her in 1994. An editorial commentary with his article in the newspaper is that an attempt was made to contact Akbar’s advocate Sandeep Kapoor, whose answer is found: “My client says that these (incidents and accusations) are all lies and they are one Has denied the end. ”

Gogoi writes that Akbar was a great journalist, but he used his position to hunt me. It was 23 years ago that he had been suppressed but when he came to know about allegations leveled in India over Akbar two weeks ago, his head began to wander and he called his two closest friends in India, which years ago his Together with the incident was a disaster. He told his husband about the accident that he had with him.
After mentioning two early incidents of sexual assault, they come on the rape incident which took place in Jaipur when they were on a reporting assignment and the grave had called them to their hotel to talk on the story. There, they torn Pallavi’s clothes and raped them. Rather than telling the police, they were shocked by this incident and did not tell anyone. They question that if they told anyone, would they trust him? He himself accused the incident of going to the hotel room.
Pallavi Gogoi writes that they do not know why they did not protest Akbar at that time. Perhaps because he was very powerful or because he did not know the way to deal with such a situation, or it might also be that he was afraid of going to his job. He continued to work after the rape of Akbar’s newspaper Asian Age, and in December 1994, Akbar offered to send him abroad in lieu of successfully covering the Karnataka elections.
He writes: “I got a work visa of both countries (US and UK). I was thrilled. ”
The case did not stop here. Even in London, Akbar tried to attack Gogoi. They fled and hid in Hyde Park. The next day, he told his friend all to Tushita. His mother and sister also made a big impact on the incident. They decided to leave London. He also had a visa from the United States which was already received by Akbar, but Akbar sent him back to Bombay. Gogoi quit his job and went to work in Dow Jones in New York
She writes: “Today I’m an American citizen. With my hard work, passion and skill, I traveled from Dow Jones to Business Week, USA TODAY, AP and CNN and today I am the leader in National Public Radio. ”
He writes further: “Now I do not need to bear anybody’s attack to stay in the job and to succeed.”
